It’s Crawfish Season, and I’m content. Mardi Gras has come and gone, and now we hesitantly lean into the wonderful smells and tastes of spring, fearing the inevitable heat of July and August.
Yesterday, Adelaide and I went to a Baby Boil — A baby shower, with a crawfish boil. It was our first boil of the year, and man was it good! The second batch was spicier than the first, and the hosts added Brussel sprouts and asparagus, which was a welcomed addition. Nothing quite like smearing boiled garlic on a red skin potato, stacked with crawfish tails, and washing it all down with an Abita Amber.
Spring has Sprung.
